This page is sample wording that shows the usual structure of terms and conditions for an online course provider. It is not legal advice. Replace the wording and the bracketed placeholders with your own terms, and have them checked for your business and the laws that apply to it, such as the Consumer Protection Act and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
These terms apply to your use of this website, to any course enrolment and to any shop order you place with Your Plumbing Academy. By using the website, enrolling in a course or placing an order, you agree to them.
You may use this website to find out about our courses, enrol, buy study materials and kits, and access your student account. You may not misuse the website, try to access other students’ accounts or interfere with how the website works.
Each student account is for one person only. Keep your login details private and do not share your account or course access with anyone else. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give us when you register.
Each course comes with an access period, shown on the course page, for example 3 months for Plumbing Basics for Beginners or 12 months for Trade Test Preparation. Your access starts [when your payment is confirmed / when you first log in to the course] and ends when the access period expires. [Explain whether access can be extended and at what cost.]
Prices are shown in South African rand and include VAT where applicable. You can pay online at checkout or by EFT; an enrolment or order is treated as paid once an online payment is approved or an EFT payment reflects in our account. Where a course is paid in instalments, the course is delivered in stages as each instalment is paid and confirmed. If an instalment is not paid on time, access to further modules may be paused until it is paid. [Add your rules for late or missed instalments.]
Digital study guides, workbooks and exam packs are available to download once payment is confirmed. Physical items such as tool kits, practice kits and PPE are delivered by courier to the address you give us, usually within [number] working days. [Explain your delivery areas and costs.]
Our courses teach plumbing knowledge and skills for learning purposes. You are responsible for working safely when you complete practical tasks: always switch off the power to an electric geyser at the distribution board before working on it, never attempt gas work unless you are a registered gas practitioner, and remember that certain plumbing work must by law be done or signed off by a registered plumber. Completing a course does not by itself make you a qualified or registered plumber.
A certificate of completion is issued when you have completed all modules and passed the practical assessments for your course. [Add your accreditation or registration details here]
You may cancel an enrolment or order as set out in our Refund Policy, which explains what happens before and after your course access starts.
All course videos, study guides, workbooks, assessments and other content on this website belong to Your Plumbing Academy or its licensors and are for your personal study only. You may not copy, share, resell or upload them anywhere else.
[Describe the limits of your responsibility for loss or damage, within what the law allows, including for work students carry out on their own premises or for others.]
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page.
